Kick It With Kittie - Whore of Bethlehem
Welcome to our newest series "Kick It With Kittie". We have brought on one of our local musicians to join the podcast team to get even more involved with our Texas metal bands. This is the pilot episode where she talks to Phil and James of Whore of Bethlehem straight out of Austin, Tx.
Whore of Bethlehem is an extreme metal band that hails from Austin, TX. Originally formed in 2009 by Ryan Sylvie, TJ Rodriguez, and Rene Martinez the band was established to break away from the signature brutal death metal sound of Texas with a more blackened and sinister approach. Phil and James joined the band in 2014 and rounded out the lineup for the debut album "Upon Judas" Throne which was unleashed in the May of 2014 to high acclaim of metal fans all over the world. After the album's release the band added Alan Berryman on bass and Sam Axelrad on drums to the fold as the band continued to build a solid Texas fan base.
The guys have a chat with Kittie about what they have been up to over the past few years, who their influences are, what's coming up as far as new music/shows and what shampoo they use as well as other little goodies. Good news is new music is just around the corner but they are taking their time to do it right the first time.
The song featured in this episode is "Invocation" of their 2017 release "Extinguish the Light"
