Have You Heard - Convictions

This episode is dedicated to Travis and anyone that has lost someone to suicide. Ryan and Michael talk about the bands take on being a Christian Metalcore band in today’s music scene and what the backstory of “The Price of Grace” relates to.
As stated on the bands website, “Hailing from Fremont, OH, the four piece Christian metalcore act known as Convictions is starting to make an impact on the world. Dubbing themselves “Aggressive Worship,” the band is not your everyday Christian band. Setting out to write lyrical content based on their own “convictions,” the band covers topics that push the boundaries.

Michael explains that navigating the waters of being a Christian metal band isn’t the same as it used to be in the heyday of the 2000’s with bands such as Underoath and the likes thereof.  One of their newest singles, “The Price of Grace”, revolves around the passing of a close friend of theirs due to suicide.  As Ryan stated, its heavy music with a back story you normally would not call a “banger” but yet it is in a way.

The guys finish out the episode talking about how the band operates with everyone so spread out and how they are going to approach touring given the COIVD restrictions are different in every state for the most part.

Todays featured song is “The Price of Grace”, one of Convictions latest releases.
